First released in 1996, the Air Jordan XII brought performance and luxury to the court. Its design reflected the maturity and refinement of a superstar who had settled into his status as a legend. The latest edition makes an understatement with a suede construction and tonal grey upper. Metallic gold eyelets throw it back to the original 1996 Taxi colorway.

Imagine writing a phrase more than 150,000 times for the sake of art.

Known as Renda Writer, an artist from Miami is seeking to paint the words “World Peace” on murals across the country and the world, “to write peace into existence,” according to his website. “I’m typically not a very politically active person because I find that stuff divides people,” Writer said. “But I believe in peace and love and these simple concepts. People are quick to dismiss this idea, but I try to keep my words small so my art can speak louder.” The actor, poet and visual artist has been creating all his life. The idea of writing world peace came from Bronx rapper KRS-One’s song World Peace
