Last night I had a dream about a group of people, who I perceived as friends, encouraging me to vote on their survey/petition, which had a controversial slant to it. So I did. But not as they expected, and I learned they weren't the friends I thought, to the point that they tried to berate and silence me for my opinion. Didn't phase me as I knew my vote was the right one and all I know was that the feeling of satisfaction both of doing what I thought was right and of not walking off a cliff with the rest of the lemmings. But, I've seldom been one to go with the flow, especially if I don't believe it to be the wisest course of action.
On another note, you may have seen my IG story of our massive practice turkey yesterday. It ended up being a bit overcooked, but the gluten free gravy and brussel sprouts, with a honey and balsamic vinegar dressing, were fantastic. Despite being being overcooked, it was one of the most satisfying turkey dinners I've ever had. We made it ourselves, carving the turkey was simply enjoyable to me, and Fiona even ate some potatoes. I'm pretty certain the biggest reason it was so satisfying was the quiet. No buffet style dishing up of already cold food, inadequate vegetables, and all the other factors that add to my typical dislike of those meals. Could've finished with a nice piece of pie but the dishes were no big deal and we watched A Garfield Christmas while preparing it.
Finished the evening with a light tour that we all enjoyed.
