I’m gonna sound cocky, but I don’t call it that. I call it confidence. I’m legit in the best shape of my life and I’m just trekking upwards. Our team came out strong with a BANG today! Feeding off the energy my guy joe was throwing at me 😂😂 This was the very beginning of the comp. We had to complete 50 HSPU and 100 muscle ups within the team and the first to finish wins! I was able to bang out I believe 27/28 straight on the first go!

todo el mundo tiene una lactato umbral (Lt). es diferente para todo el mundo, depende de su nivel de Fitness, pero en general, es entre 75-85% de su potencia máxima. cuando el ejercicio va por debajo de este umbral, cualquier lactato producidos por los músculos se elimina por el cuerpo sin tener que reconstruir.
cuando trabaje por encima de ella, lactato se acumula en la sangre a un ritmo de lo no que puede ser eliminado. como éste se añade a la sangre, se empieza a sentir realmente malo. en otras palabras, su lactato umbral es su ritmo máximo sostenible. si usted va más rápido, se hace insostenible. si usted va más lento, ya no máxima. es exactamente el punto en que usted no puede ir más rápido sin ralentizar más tarde. en la mayoría, sólo se puede pasar a 3 minutos y por encima de su lactato umbral. después de eso, se explota. La comprensión de esto nos ayuda a determinar correctamente ritmos de entrenamientos para maximizar nuestros puntajes a corto y a largo plazo.
cuando usted está trabajando en el 40-50% de su máxima ritmo, vas lento. y si usted pasa la mayor parte de su entrenamiento lento, ¿sabes qué? usted no está mejorando.

Today's training with strength bias. The exercise was the clean and jerk. 5 sets. Clean complex. 5 RM 155.6 pounds. Executed 2 sets at 150 lbs. clean complex consisted of Power Clean + hang clean + front squat + clean + clean and jerk.

Tonight's another training session that I wasn't able to hit my mark, but I was able to get a significant increase in total tonnage from previous cycle. If I can move more weight during in a lot of time, it means that I'm getting stronger. And that's all that matters.

Sometimes we get so caught up on numbers. Numbers are just a guideline. Numbers are only part of the equation. they're only an isolated snapshot.. Their unit of measure in which to base and establish starting point. A way of establishing progression.

Tonight when I started the training session, my legs were extremely sore from the previous two days. By the end of the training session my legs feel great. This is another mistake I see people make on a consistent basis. They work out just enough to keep themselves or and take so much of a rest, they never progressed. So of course you're going to give up and you're going to quit. When your body is sore, that's the time to do more things.

There's the old adage what's the best way to get over the soreness from squats? Do more squats! It's okay to be sore. In fact it's the preferred outcome. It means that your body is going through the inflammatory process. It means that you're undergoing protein synthesis. It means you're getting strong. Of course, listen to your body, but Auto regulate. Don't just stop. Especially in our age group in above. Stopping isn't the answer.

The body adapts to stress stimulus. If you don't stress the system, it will not adapt. Adaptation is the way we get better. It's the way we become stronger. Linear progression is a double-edged sword. Because each time you're creating more and more stimulus. So you're going to be sore frequently, but at the end of it. When you look towards the end of the vector you're going to be stronger. Autoregulation allows recovery fluctuations.

Pão de frigideira
INGREDIENTES
1 ovo
1 col sopa de creme de ricota ou outro queijo cremoso (alérgicos ou intolerantes podem fazer sem)
1 col sopa de polvilho doce
1 col sopa de polvilho azedo
1 col sopa de farinha de linhaça
Sal a gosto

Bate tudo (fouet), frigideira (aquela pequena pra ovo, se fizer numa maior não dá pra rechear) untada com azeite, coloca metade da massa, recheia (usei queijo minas curado), e cobre com a outra metade da massa, fogo baixo, e deixa dourar dos dois lados.

👉Sling weekend continues here on my page with today’s focus on the deep posterior longitudinal system which is composed of the erector spinae, sacrotuberous ligament, and the hamstring group. It creates extension and hyperextension of the head to the knees and flexion of the gastrocnemius and plantar fascia.
.
🏃‍♀️The deep posterior longitudinal sling uses the thoracolumbar fascia and paraspinal muscles to transmit kinetic energy above the pelvis while using the biceps femoris as the communicating link between the pelvis and the lower extremity.
.
⛹️‍♂️If you’re an athlete, you're going to want to try training your slings. We don’t just move in 1 plane of motion with one joint at a time.

Who do you have in your corner?

My corner is filled with people who will pack up for the weekend and head to Austin for a competition, even if they’re not competing. They just show up because they love me and want to cheer me on. It’s full of people who call me out on my crap when it needs to happen. It’s full of people who CHOOSE to love me, when sometimes it would be easier to walk away. It’s full of people who encourage, motivate, pray, and laugh with (and sometimes AT) me.

I pray you have the same type of people in your corner. @nickramon and I went through a HARD change a couple of years ago and stepped away from a community of people that we *thought* were in our corner. They weren’t. It was the hardest thing I’ve done in my adult life, stepping away from people who I thought were going to be in my life forever. Full transparency: It ripped my heart out.

“But God”...God has rebuilt our community. He weeded out those who didn’t need to be there and added in those who would see the “yuck” in my life and not run. Instead they’ve stepped into that yuck with me and they’ve been in my corner cheering me on ever since.

.
Let people walk away. Step away from unhealthy friendships and relationships. Allow God to weed people out. I promise you that even thought it hurts, something better is coming. Something soooo much better came our way, and they were worth every tear I cried and every night I laid awake!

Find your people, love your people, and allow your people to love you. This is what community looks like...and it’s SO sweet!

The subject of the study were about to highlight is an individual who had Parkinson's for over 2 decades

The study was to supplement with D-BHB and see how eye movement was affected

The individual was examined with an eye-tracking device, which measures the abnormal eye movement that is common among patients with Parkinson's
.
The average score for a person his age is 17 targets
.
Before treatment, the subject scored a 6
.
After D-BHB supplementation, he scored an 18 (!!!), above the average score, and his hands stopped shaking
.
For the first time in a long time, the subject had control over his life and the tremors had subsided
.
We're excited to see more research into how exogenous ketone supplementation can help people with Parkinson's in the future!

What do you call an upset worm with no teeth? A sour gummy worm 🤷🏼‍♂️ & today we are discussing BCAA Optima! It is a powder supplement that mixes okay it did take a few extra shakes then normal to get the texture I was looking for but no big deal. The flavor is sour gummy worm & it provides that perfect sour candy taste. It was smooth going down & provided plenty of taste but I did get a little after taste that I didn’t care for. Overall it did its job for a BCAA. I felt like my recovery time was quicker jumping between heavy sets & my endurance peaked to help me finish every rep strong! The highlighted ingredients of taurine & glutamine are what helped with the increased performance outcome. So for all you fitness freaks & gym rats this is something to try out!
