Michael Nottingham was pleased to play his part in helping Blackpool book a place in the second round of the Carabao Cup last night. He said “I’m happy to get through and very happy to get my goal and pitch in, as well as very happy to get 90 minutes. I want to back it up and give myself a chance to play on Saturday, hopefully. I think it took us the half to get going but we came in, reassessed a few things and readdressed it at half-time. We sorted the small problems, tweaked little thinks and I think we were good in the second-half and deserved to win.”

Without being over-analytical about that, there are a couple of negative points that can be drawn out of that, in particular the performance of Ozturk, but mainly the lack of goal scoring opportunities we had from so much possession.
However, despite the score line, the performance was great, especially first half.
A mention to Max Power is deserved. He played with confidence and didn’t put a foot wrong.
Maguire too. All over the park. Phenomenal.
My man of the match was Lee Cattermole. This was one of the best performances I can ever remember him having and we effectively lost the game when he went off.
After 90 minutes of football Visit and their supporters will be traveling home with a deserved win. Great game of football, Sheffield better by bites of the cherry but Sunderland still pushed to finish on a high.
At the end of the night Wednesday take the 3 points and progress further into the #eflcup
Good to see that after all the social media attention recently, Boiler Man has stayed humble and not got too carried away as of yet!
Day 87 in Vietnam.
I didn't leave the house AGAIN today. Netflix is currently a great distraction and my best friend right now! But this is how I tend to cope when things are being processed. I think it's my Cancerian nature (if you believe that sort of thing.. I do!) to retreat whilst I think or heal, depending on what's happening. So it's a good thing that I had to cover another class tonight to get me some of that fresh air that I've heard is good for you. I've not been riding my scooter this week as I'm too distracted so I caught a Grab to District 1's Saigon Pearl centre to teach an iGarten class tonight. (After a temporary scare of being locked in my room due to a faulty door handle that now needs replacing! That almost felt like a sign that I needed to stay home.. haha). I'd been warned in advance that this class are new and very rowdy, actually the most unruly class in the whole centre apparently, so I was bracing myself when the 4yr olds arrived. Yup. Tiny little monsters But they were actually not too bad with me. Easily distracted and prone to getting up for no reason (why do kids DO that?!) but not the little monkeys I was expecting. So the lesson went fairly well and we all got to sing 'Baby Shark' at the end as a reward. I sound a bit deranged but I was loving the kids getting into the actions of the song, and I think I was relieved to have survived the class. Even my TA told me at the end that she was surprised at how well behaved the kids were with me. You and me both, Mia! The lesson was a good distraction for the kids and me, I think.. #vietnam#Vietnamdiary#vietnamlife#saigon#saigonlife#hochimimhcity#hochiminhlife#hcmc#hcmclife#solotraveller#travel#travelblog#esl#eslteacher#eslife#efl#eflteacher#eflife#kindergarten#tinyadorablemonsters#babyshark#agooddistraction
