1821. “I sold everything from a forklift to a crane.” While studying Business at @nazarethcollege, Brody Cord became convinced by one of his professors to add Spanish as a second major. She had secured a grant for him to study abroad in Peru where he worked as a translator for volunteer nurses in the mountains there. After that semester ended, Brody then spent 6 months living in Colombia where he’d planned to work in marketing for the Colombian dairy, food and beverage company, Aplina. He ended up working as a personal trainer at a local gym, though, and returned home to the states due to the weakening of the Colombian peso versus the US dollar. Once back in California, Brody started working in sales for H&E Equipment, but after almost a year with them he realized, “I was either moving money or metal.” Yearning for something more fulfilling, Brody left the comfort of equipment sales for the excitement of building something new at @tenzotea. Now, he works as their Chief Sales Officer, and in addition to trying to grow the reach of their product, tries to put a smile on the faces of everyone he interacts with. Already this week, Brody has been asked three times how he stays so positive and shared that with all of the issues going on the world, he simply tries to cut through it with a smile! Awesome hanging with you, @brodycord! #10kfriends #losangeles #venice #nazarethcollege #volleyball #colombia #equipment #sales #matcha #positivity #smile #meetingpeople
How we met: Brody first came across my project via @mattdajer (#1763) and then saw I met a bunch of his friends so he DM’ed me to meet!
