🌟WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?🌟
This morning I woke up late because my alarm didn’t go off. I threw off the covers and quickly went downstairs to let Suzie out. Before I opened the sliding door, I glanced out to assess the conditions of the snowy path across the deck. Looked OK, not too deep.
As I set one foot out the door, I slipped sideways and fell down hard. ~
And this is where things get interesting.
I fell and really banged my shoulder and knee, but my thought was ‘It's Ok. I'm OK’. Similarly, when I had realized my alarm hadn't gone off, my thoughts were only ones of surprise and keenness you get Suzie out. Neither incident sent me into a tailspin of catastrophic thinking.
What we 'think', we attract. That’s why I regularly work on my inner dialogue. This can be done through the intentional practice of creating positive thoughts (e.g., by affirmations or journaling), or by being more mindful of what we think and say throughout the day. ~
When we change our thoughts, we change what we attract.
