Chicken & Butternut Squash Salad⠀
Prep Time: 40 min⠀

Ingredients: (Serves 2)⠀
2 cups Butternut Squash (diced into cubes)⠀
1/4 tsp Cinnamon⠀
1 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil (divided)⠀
4 cups Kale Leaves (finely chopped)⠀
145g. Chicken Breast (Pre-Cooked) (Roasted is great, chopped)⠀
1 1/2 tsps. Balsamic Vinegar⠀
Sea Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)⠀
3 tbsp. Pumpkin Seeds⠀

Directions: Preheat oven to 220 degrees c. Line a rimmed baking sheet with greaseproof paper. Throw the butternut squash in 1/2 tbsp. of olive oil and spread on baking sheet. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown. ⠀

Heat remaining 1/2 tbsp. of olive oil in a large pan over med-low heat. Add kale and sauté until wilted (about 3 - 5 minutes). Remove from the heat. Add the roasted butternut squash, pre-cooked chicken, pumpkin seeds, and balsamic vinegar to the skillet then mix until well combined. Season with sea salt and black pepper to taste. ⠀

[INDIAN FOOD]

Hier soir, j'ai regardé un petit reportage sur @netflixfr.
"Food Street", un reportage sur les petites échoppes de rues, dans le monde entier.

D'abord Bangkok, puis Pékin, ensuite l'Indonésie, je me suis arrêtée après celui sur le Rajasthan.

Après avoir bavé pendant 2h, tout ces petits plats m'ont donné l'eau à la bouche.

Je réalise souvent des recettes à l'indienne, alors ce soir, mais ça faisait très longtemps que je n'en avais pas cuisiné, c'est vrai.

Moi qui ne mange pas de viande, j'ai eu envie, j'avoue, d'un curry de poulet.
C'est vraiment exceptionnel, voire même très étonnant, mais c'est ça être flexitarienne.
J'ai une alimentation à 75% végétarienne, je mange des œufs, du poisson et rarement, si rarement, il m'arrive de prendre un morceau de viande.
C'est le cas ce soir.

Donc, curry de poulet et pommes de terre sautées.

[Les pommes de terre]

J'ai coupé mes pommes de terre en petits carrés et je les ai cuit dans un mélange huile d'arachides et beurre demi sel.
Le tout pendant une vingtaine de minutes.

[Le curry de poulet]

Fond d'huile d'olive et un peu de beurre demi sel.
J'ai découpé 2 échalotes et de l'ail pour les faire revenir.
J'ai découpé mes filets Bio de poulet de ferme et j'ai ajouté dans mon fond d'huile.
J'ai laissé cuire qqs minutes puis j'ai incorporé mon curry en poudre, sel, poivre, paprika ainsi que des petits morceaux de piments végétariens (provenant de Guadeloupe, achetés par Papa et Maman et conseillé par @madi_mom_healthy
) 😉
J'ai ajouté des tomates cerises ainsi que de la crème de soja et pour finir, du persil.
Le tout a mijoté une vingtaine de minutes également.

Un véritable délice cette recette. Mais genre, vraiment!!!

[ RENFO - 30min ]

Plus de course à pied, plus d'entraînement en club 🐳 et des horaires de piscine qui ne conviennent pas cette semaine avec mon emploi du temps donc petit renfo à la maison.

On rattrape les 4 derniers jours du challenge planche @fitmumfrance 1'25 / 1'30 / 1'35 / 1'40 ( sur les genoux, il faut rester raisonnable 😉) Ce petit bidou pousse tout doucement.

There’s a fine line between having worked, and having overworked.

Your body needs stimulus/stress in order for change to occur. The amount of stimulus required will increase as your experience grows.

Ask anybody who is committed to their training, and generally they will be aching in some way on some part of their body. They learn to tolerate a little discomfort in order to grow.

In the same breath, rarely will you see these same people hobbling around, struggling to sit down, or crawling up the stairs.

There’s a fine line between not enough, and too much.

Whilst it can be fun and good for the soul to occasionally push the limits and really have a all out hell session, generally speaking we want to be able to keep our activity levels up, especially when seeking weight loss, so training to the point we can’t walk is counter productive.

The body will adapt according to being progressively pushed harder, just don’t push too hard too soon. Small steps, don’t rush, just be consistent .

Water will eventually carve a path through even the hardest rock.

It was so clammy indoors tonight that I decided to take my workout outside!

I hiked the exercise bike into the garden and worked out there instead 🚴🏻‍♀️
Now I just need a full nights sleep 😴 - something that I’ve missed the last couple of nights...

When you’ve been struggling for weeks to get this wallpaper/wallpaper/paint/wallpaper/paint combo off the walls and you finally find the BEST tool ever, it truely is some kind of magic! (Awesomely timed song, thanks @morefmradio 😂)

So if you are needing to strip wallpaper any time soon, go to @mitre10nz and grab yourselves one of these, swipe 👉🏼 to see the little beauty. It puts small holes in the paper/paint, which you can see in pic 2, so when you spray it the water/stripping solution/steam can get into the holes. This way all the adhesive under that paper gets wet, not just around the edges. Let the water/steam do its thing for a couple of minutes and off she comes. Genius!
Note: it doesn’t seem to work as well on the brown backing paper so once that’s off she works a charm 👌🏼 Any more wallpaper removal tips you might have swing them my way! There’s still so much to take down! •
My upper back muscles are definitely getting huge workouts these past few weeks. The constant movement with that scraper for 3-4 hours a day kills me! However, I’m 100% sure that if I didn’t train outside of work I’d be in a whole lot more pain! •

What changed for me?⁣

Yes, I regularly workout. Yes, I eat well 80% of the time. Yes, I do personal development every day. But the one thing that has changed my life the most and has kept me consistent in all of the above is becoming an online health and fitness coach.⁣

Before I started this I would complete a homeworkout program but then have a few weeks off, or I would start a plan and switch to another program I liked better. I would follow the nutrition plan (a bit) some days good, some days not so good, but it was never for a good amount of time to keep my results consistent. I’d lose a few pounds then gain them back.⁣

18 months ago I launched my online business and from that moment I have showed up EVERY SINGLE DAY for me and my online fitness groups. ⁣

So on the left was me at 38 weeks preggers 3 1/2 years ago, now you can see where my stretch marks came from as I was HUGE!! 🙈 I was also in a lot of pain at this point pretty much unable to walk so couldn’t keep exercising. The right was a few days ago, towards the end of prep for @pureelitecomp . As much as my stretch marks are my insecurity, I also look at what I created and what my body went through for those 9 months. I grew an amazing little person and wouldn’t change it for the world. I’m not perfect but I’m looking the best I’ve ever looked in my life at the age of 36 and 2 children later! 💕💕💕.
