Why compound exercises?! _
Well my friend, compound exercises just means combining two exercises into one move to target even more muscles (for example as shown in the video: front shoulder raise to an overhead Tricep extension OR push-up to shoulder taps—which those pushups & plank shoulder taps are no joke 💪🏽🔥😂)

By Training multiple muscle groups at once, you are essentially: -
✅Burning more calories while you exercise

Coming for this pool in just a few minutes....just finished my workout and will post shortly. Also, some things I do to stay on track while traveling...
1. Workout! No reason not to...I spent 25 minutes and its done✔
2. Hydrate! Always keep water handy...even if other drinks going on ( 🍷🍸🍹🍻)
3. Grocery Shopping...brought some of my go-to snacks and will stop at store this afternoon for some things to have on hand.
4. No stressing! It's a few days..it won't break or make me! Enjoy your life❤

🛩 Travel Tip Tuesday 💺

If you struggle with maintaining your progress while traveling, this post is for you! I travel ALL the time, to the point I can pretty much tell you what airports will let what slide, what protein powders set off alarms, etc.
.
So, here’s my tips to traveling smart and staying lean:
.
🛫Plan ahead - research your hotel - does it have a fridge, a microwave, etc.? .

🛫Pack a few quick protein sources that you can eat in emergency situations (think tuna packs, deli meat, jerky, protein powders - 🚫ON Chocolate sets off TSA alarms and will get you strip searched 🚫)
.
🛫 Omega-3s and NUTS - pack them, pre-portion them if you have no self control. These are easy to grab and account for as fat sources. PB is considered a liquid and will get tossed by TSA. Coconut oil melts and well, makes a mess/gets tossed.
.
🛫 Carbs - pack them! Bring your pre and post workout foods it’s you - pre measured! Rice cakes, dry oats, dry fruit and cereals are GREAT easy carb sources to travel with and have on hand!
.
🛫 Airport Food - every airport has some type of restaurant where you can order/special order your food. Find it and order something that aligns with your goals!
.
*Pictured - F2O club salad (no bacon, cheese or almonds). It has grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce mix, tomatoes and cucumbers ➡️ and YES! I ate it ALL!
.
🛫 Bring your shaker cup to fill up after security OR buy a big bottle of water - drink it! Traveling causes water retention and bloating; it just does. Try to have at least 1/2 your normal H2O intake in prior to flying and then sip on water throughout your travel day. If you have a GrEEn drink, drink it - it also helps minimal sense bloating.
.
Don’t be an asshole - Travel is stressful and unless you’re on prep, don’t add extra stress trying to be perfect. Practice what, hopefully, your coach has taught you - lean protein, carb and healthy fat with every meal. Utilize fast food guides or emergency meal recommendations - eat a protein bar if you have to. .

Took an Italian cooking class today and it was such a yummy and fun experience. For appetizer we made bruschetta. For the main course we made spinach and ricotta cheese ravioli (from scratch 😍). For dessert we made tiramisu which is my favorite dessert! 🍮

I bought all the produce this weekend so that means another batch of random freshness bowls for lunches!
We’ve got :
Green beans 🥗
Butternut squash 🍠
Rice 🍚
Riced cauliflower
Zucchini
Feta
All jumbled up to make 1 delicious, fiber packed, bowl!
I also prepped ahead @skinnytaste turkey meatball and tortellini soup and my own crockpot turkey chili. That way we just need to throw it in the crockpot/Dutch oven for an east, week night dinner!

Back from Showlow: The Land of What's Internet?
Thankfully, I have all the workouts on my phone so when some of the girls wanted to workout with me, I was at the ready (kind of). It took a while to download on the crappy, spotty wifi. But it meant I got to do some yoga and cardio in great Northern AZ! 🌲
Tragically, the very minimal internet access also meant I wasn't able to work, which turned out to be a little bit of a needed blessing. Definitely been pushing too hard in my business so I felt stuck. So please bear with me as I get back to everyone that's in my inbox ready to join the fit fam 💜
BUT, now that I'm back I feel more confident in where God has me and my ability to balance rest with my love for my job. 🏋️‍♀️
