We’ve been seeking other people’s attention and approval for so long, we’ve forgotten to give ourselves the attention and the love we need. I realized, that the love I was searching for so desperately outside can only be found inside myself. I needed to stop checking out and to start checking in. How?
By sitting in silence witnessing the aliveness of my body, observing emotions and thoughts without judging them. I try to value them as part of the experience that I’m allowed to have. When my heart feels heavy I try to find the root cause for it and sit with it for a while. Later I journal my emotions, I write them down in my diary and that helps me to let go of them.
Value the peace of mind, if you lose that, you lose everything. Be kind to yourself, you‘re doing the best you can. Don’t become your own enemy. Do shit that makes your heart sing, your body healthy and your mind wonder. Go on adventures, do one thing a day that scares you. Share the love for yourself with others and inspire them to become their greatest fan too.
