Always have my fuel in hand. While being pregnant i can only have 1 Spark a day so I’ll have 1/2 in the am and 1/2 in the afternoon if needed!! I love having variety so I brought s handful with us. PLUS these AdvoBars are great when I get motion sickness during flights or drives! Been working on a Pregnancy Regimen with supplements and healthy foods to curve the weight gain while the baby weight adds. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO! Everyone is going to gain weight during the pregnancy but you can stay ahead of the excess that way after the baby comes you don’t have too far to go! Obviously there will also be cravings that we HAVE to give into, right?! It’s all about balance and being healthy so your baby can grow well and strong while you also fuel your body properly. Keep your eyes out and message me with questions or if you need tips and tricks to tackle the rough days!! 🌺

FUEL FOR THE 🔥 I remember being sat in my PT studio on a morning break when a young lad pulled up out front on his push bike. He timidly opened the door and asked if he could have a chat about ‘getting in shape’. I welcomed him in from the cold, understood his story and 12 months later he stepped on stage in a fitness competition, looking like a young Hercules. Like him, I’d been the skinniest guy in my Sports Science class and comments about my scrawny frame killed me deeper than I’d dare to let on to at the time. Like many others in this world, ONE comment served to fuel my future in a such a significant way. I like those stories the most. If you’ve ever been told you can’t do something, chances are you CAN and being told you couldn’t was simply the FUEL you needed to get there. Don’t quit. We were so excited to have a visit from students and staff from Newman Senior High School who kindly volunteered their time to help us out while in Perth for their leadership camp.
Students were joined by BHP Western Australia and together the team helped pack boxes for our Christmas hampers. The group then busted some common nutrition myths during a Fuel Your Future workshop, before preparing a delicious healthy lunch for all to enjoy.
Thanks to the support of BHP, we are able to provide opportunities for students and BHP staff to support our fight against hunger in WA!

Here’s the breakdown: 45-65% carbs, 10-35% protein, 20-35% fat.

Make sure you’re hitting ALL those macros… each has their own purpose.

Carbs: main energy source — GLUCOSE! Protein: repairing and building muscle, Fat: cell structure and function. Specific diets like to write one or the other off, but our bodies need a healthy balance to keep us ready.

Healthy fats are a necessary food group to include in your diet. Fats help absorb vitamins, insulate the body, and are building blocks for hormones. But, just like carbs, there are some types that are better choices than others.

Aim for foods with more unsaturated fat— fish, lean meat, nuts, and of course... avocado 🥑 #extra

Limit the amount of saturated fat you consume, and try to avoid trans-fat, both of which are linked to high cholesterol and heart disease.
