Move of the week 💪🏻 Struggling seeing improvement in regards to balance training? Whether biking, hiking, skiing, etc...think big picture and systemically integrated exercises. This vestibular move has the chance to help in a wide variety of applications. 💪🏻 Assess your current level of balance without any extra challenge. (It is important to have the ability to stand on one leg before performing this exercise.) 💪🏻 Focus in on the top of the pen as if it were chained to your vision. Move through a full dynamic range of motion slowly while doing your best to maintain the single leg stance. 💪🏻 Take away the pen and reassess your single leg balance.
This move is more advanced, and can be too much for some individuals. If you feel nauseous or lightheaded dial it back to an appropriate level, then advance back up when ready. Make sure you have ample space and a quiet environment for optimal results. Balance training in general is often overlooked, for all ages and populations. Sometimes the best way to train is thinking outside of the box. Be you, train smart, and live healthy!

Some quick tips for executing one of the best exercises for developing the quads.
-
Always remember the dirt that is in the floor is the leg your working.
-
In the first video there is a few issues, this is usually how you see these executed.
-
1.The bar is too high, this leads to my right hip taking a beating, which takes focus off you trying to actually target the left quad, for most people a bench can be too high too.(if you want to smash your hip flexors,carry on with this method)
-
2. Foot too far out, again my hip is taking a beating and balance is an issue also, which can just lead to poor execution.

The second video is potentially a better way for you to execute this exercise.
-
1. The bar is below the knee(use this as a reference), this will take focus off the hip and help you think about what’s going on with the other leg.

2. The left knee is only slightly in front if the Elevated knee, this helps with balance and driving the knee forward(enabling more knee flex ion), which leads to better quad activation.

3. Slight forward lean, replicating what you would do in a squat, this helps you with breathing and keeping stability.

Nachdem ich schon sooo lange Fan auf Facebook und Instagram war, sind wir heute zum ersten Mal im @greenlion_fitnessfoodhouse schlemmen gewesen 😍
