Hey loves! Day 4 of #DropbackFearlessly is Core work. I have some of my favorite core drills for you guys. You got to strengthen that core to protect your lower back and to develop control over your dropback!

1. Hollowbody to Navasana. 12 of these and your core will be on 🔥. If
getting into navasana is not accessible yet, you can put your hand(s)
on the floor while coming up and then bring them beside your hips. Focus on keeping your back straight in Navasana.

2. Plank - Try to hold your plank on the back of your feet instead of toes to get more core engagement. If that's not accessible, doing it on toes works fine. If good old plank for 1 minute is too easy for you, try lifting one arm or one leg.

3. Eagle crunches - I adore these!! If eagle is not in your practice, you can simply cross you arms and legs.

4. Hollowbody hold - Start with 20sec, try for 1 minute. Warning : it
might feel like you dying 😜 Another option for beginners - bend your knees so your shins are parallel to the ground and then hold the hollowbody. If you want to make it more advanced - extend your arms overhead. Make sure your lower back remains flush with the ground!

Repeat the sequence 3 times and you can yell at me while doing that 😝 I dont mind😉 #Yogawithsakshi

This made so much sense. For all the ones who want advise on fitness- here it is.
No rocket science at all. It’s all about doing the basics right for longer periods with consistency. That’s always been the key no matter on how evolved the fitness industry. And trust me on this- IT WORKS!
Consistency is that magic pill you all keep searching for. It will never be easy but why want easy?
It doesn’t matter if you have been training for 5 years , 5 months or 5 days. If you lack consistency- you will be a headless chicken trying to google for easy ways out!

For my #AFS minded types, some lateral/frontal plane lunges with an opposite hand crossover reach (transverse plane) to a SL RDL with crossover reach (sagittal/transverse plane). The body does not always work in the sagittal plane (fwd/bwd), especially in sports. Lateral and rotational movements happen throughout the body in sport & life. So with these tweaks, really trying to promote forward flexion at the hip, as well as adduction & internal rotation of the femur to load the glutes in the lunge, and those lateral hamstrings, biceps femoris, that can be neglected. You could call this “functional training”. The glutes & hamstrings are what really decelerate & control the leg through function.
