Morning Sunday stretch!
Flexibility was my downfall (like many) and I ALWAYS made excuses as to why I couldn’t stretch - whether before a workout or after, at home, just before I headed home from work (always worked in a gym so go figure?) I always sacked it off and I always thought ah well it’s not that important! -
As I get older and training gets tougher, and I push my limits further, the importance of stretching screams at me, not only for my improved flexibility, but my lifts are easier, stronger and my wellbeing has increased no end! Not to mention the decrease in likelihood of injury!
My advice for anyone who isn’t making time to stretch - just DO IT! You’ll feel miles better after and your whole training will improve, you’ll be less likely to get injured and your muscles will thank you. -
