Nakamura Tokichi is located at Tsim Sha Tsui, and it is one of the most established matcha stores from Japan. Seats are arranged with distance, which creates a cosy environment.
宇治金時餡蜜 (Uji Kin Annmitsu) $98
Annmitsu is served with orange, pineapple, kiwi, mochi and matcha jelly, with a scoop of matcha ice cream on top. Fruits are fresh and gain the taste of matcha as the ice cream melt. You can also place the sweets inside the biscuits and pour some matcha honey on it, that smoothen the dessert with a bit of sweetness.
藤吉精選 (Tokichi Set) $98
Matcha jelly is served together with red bean paste and mochi. The taste of matcha jelly is quite mild, which makes a contrast to the sweetness of red bean paste. Mochi is attractive due to its chewy texture. Cakes are soft and composite with pure matcha flavour, that gives a stronger taste. One thing that worth to mention is the Nakamura tea that is rich in bitterness, which could neutralize the sweetness of red bean paste. In general, we would recommend you to try this dessert.
