181218 the lamp post꒰ 17/30 ꒱
it was another night where the sky opened out to let out its sadness and despair, it cried out loud letting the universe know, darkening the clouds and hiding the sun, it was another one of those days. my boots awoke a puddle and i watched it ripple full of fear, it was another one of those days where i’ve forgotten my umbrella and now i am soaked head to toe in the ruthless cold. looking far ahead i see a figure of boy, standing under illuminating ray of hope, a lamp post by the sidewalk, his black umbrella casting undefined silhouettes. the figure turned and my gaze interlocked with his, the shiny orbs held a glint of hope that maybe, just maybe, after the pouring rain, a rainbow would come and bless us all. the pools of leaking stars started to billow on the ground as a pair of drenched boots start to come out of the blur and into focus, the melodic pitter patter of tears were slowly faded out as a voice spoke. his voice spoke.
