Hey! There’s me in the ancient city of Petra with an adorable kitten on my shoulder!
I wanted to start this page to encourage others that it’s possible to have a life of adventure even with chronic illness.

Living with severe pain and all the complications that come with it is a daily battle. I’m here to encourage you that it is possible to still live and make your dreams come true, even if they look a little, or a lot, different than you imagined.

There are a lot of days that I’m stuck inside chilling with my BFF, aka my heating pad. On days like this, it’s easy to let my pain dominate my thoughts. .
.

It’s pictures like this that remind me to keep pushing--that I’ve done it before and will be able to do it again.

We ’re so much stronger & braver than our diseases want us to believe! Let’s share our #endo_adventures and inspire one another to keep fighting!

I get mad. I get upset. I get angry. I get frustrated. I feel all these emotions, when I cannot perform my best. I am an extremely competitive person who has a passion for sport. Unfortunately, that is no excuse for an attitude when things don't go as planned. I have been training mentally, starting with the small things, learning to keep a smile on my face without losing my drive, my focus. When I walk off the golf course, I do not want you to be able to tell if I won or if I lost. "It is inevitable that sometime, even if you have done everything right, you still may lose. When you are fortunate enough to deserve to win, you need to be humble in victory, respecting your competitor and their effort. When you lose, you must be gracious in defeat."

It's a tough #mentalgame ! We like to feel completely prepared, so we dont fail. Annnnnndd... just in case there is a slight FEEL of failure, it's just easier not to start... right?..

The best part about a new program is being excited to work out in the morning again! It’s been a rough week of sleep because my one year old seems to be either be fighting off a cold, going thru sleep regression or thinks it’s fun to wake mom up everytime she falls asleep 🙄 But this too shall pass and my mental game has been strong. The morning alarm might come too soon but it really has set me up for a better day keeping with routine and getting up and getting it done early. Sleep will come... one day 😂

Focus and execute. Eigentlich ist Triathlon schon eine verrückte Sache. Monatelange Vorbereitung für meistens ein einziges Saison-Highlight. An diesem einen Tag soll alles zusammen kommen, wofür man so lange trainiert hat. Die Vorstellung, dass es keine zweite Chance gibt um sein persönlich gestecktes Ziel bei speziell diesem einen, schon lang ausgewählten Rennen zu erreichen, ist schon mächtig. Life is so hard at times! Have you ever found that we make it way harder than it needs to be? I know I have definitely made things way harder than I have needed to for myself. ⭐
So many times we focus on the darkness that we experience and we don't notice the stars. We don't take time to appreciate the hard times for what they are. They help us to gain perspective and to decide what really matters to us. They help is take action where we once just wished for change. ⭐
This is a time of soul searching and digging deeper than we ever have before. If we look for it, there will always be light. Grasp onto the little bits of light and eventually the sun will come out. Just like many things in life...the absence of something helps us appreciate it that much more. ⭐
I learned a valuable lesson today. I read a quote today that said "Make time for yourself. You are worth it." The amazing thing that happened today was I actually believed myself when I told myself I was worth it! It has been years of not feeling good enough or not worthy enough for things. Slowly but surely my mindset is changing. ⭐

I used to have a skewed viewpoint when it comes to health, fitness and what our bodies "should" look like. For most of my childhood I was a twig; very short of stature, smaller than the other kids and no fat anywhere to be seen. I looked like I was on the verge of malnourishment, even though I ate plenty of good healthy nourishing food.
When I got into middle school my opinion of my body changed. I was a size 0 in the 7th grade, while my classmates were size 7 and up. Skinny shaming is a thing that we do to ourselves and others without even realizing it. I wanted to wear a size 7 like the rest of the girls. That desire to be a size 7 led me to ignore healthy eating habits and eat junk so I could "fit in." By the time I graduated high school I was a size 13 and I suddenly hated my body. I was too big in my mind, but I was unwilling to make the changes necessary. Here I am, 11 years later (jeez I'm getting old haha) and finally loving my body. I still have days where I nitpick something, usually my fine lines now (again, I'm aging haha) but overall I love myself.

That is what following these programs has done for me. They go beyond exercise for the body. They have improved my mind.

High quality video can be extremely helpful in seeing what's happening at release. This is a big part of pitch design and helping the player understand and see what they are doing. .

Here is a 4 seam FB with release coming off of both fingers. For the change up the ball is coming off the middle finger. .

Video like this allows you to see what might be causing a pitcher to cut a pitch, have their wrist position off, early pronation etc. Video combined with Rapsodo / trackman, and good coaching is a deadly combo!
