Sam decided against becoming a serial killer, and since all that plastic sheeting was in the bus already, we decided we may as well spray foam the roof!
The coolest and the most terrifying part of this conversion is that we are constantly doing things for the first time, every step of the way. It’s so rewarding to learn all these new skills and processes, but man - from new power tools to new chemicals, it feels like we spend an hour or two every day reading new ways in which we might be about to maim/kill/poison ourselves.
So far we seem to be surviving, all the isocyanates we were slinging around today notwithstanding! I’m so proud of Sam and how he tackled this new challenge. We’re celebrating with nachos and Chardonnay tonight and trying not to think about the ways we may be about to almost kill ourselves tomorrow!
Anyone have any good close call stories from their conversion? Or any “fun” experiences with spray foam? We’d love to hear how it went for you! (And mom, if you’re reading this, the important takeaway is that we are still in one piece and fine fine fine 💗💗💗)
