-Someone asked me a few days ago to recommend a book. Without having any second thought, I immediately said, "The Forty Rules of Love. You must read it."
I finished the book last month and the novel mesmerized me to the extent that when I came close to the end; the truth is I didn't want it to finish.
This novels tackles LIFE, LOVE, SPIRITUALITY, RELIGION, SOCIETY, FRIENDSHIP, and DEATH in ways that expand our minds and force us to stop and reflect. While reading the novel, I underlined and wrote down some quotes what personally touched me.
Some of my favourites are:
"Don't judge the way other people connect to God. To each his own way and his own prayer. God does not take us at our word. He looks deep into our hearts. It is not ceremonies or rituals that make a difference, but whether our hearts are sufficiently pure or not."
"Whatever happens in your life, no matter how troubling things might seem, do not enter the neighborhood of despair. Even when all doors remain closed, God will open up a new path only for you. Be thankful!”
“Be thankful for every thorn that others might throw at you. It is a sign that you will soon be showered in roses”
“Every true love and friendship is a story of unexpected transformation. If we are the same person before and after we loved, that means we haven’t loved enough.” ... And my most favourite's rule's picture is attached
I don't like to read books and novels, but a year ago my friend FORCED me start reading books and I suggest you all do read this book, trust me it's AWESOME
