Le fait-maison quoi de mieux ?
On a enfin testé le laminoir à pâtes ! On a enfin pris le temps surtout ! L’autre jour en faisant les courses : une envie de gorgonzola 🧀 et je me suis dit « tiens si on faisait des ravioles » alors ni une ni deux on s’y est mis !
Un vrai travail d’équipe : on pétrit, on fait passer dans le laminoir, on fait sécher, on découpe, on fourre, on plie, on colle, on met dans l’eau ... bref ! I always drink protein shake right after my heavy lifting weight workout at the gym, which is probably 4 times a week I would say. And I used to drink whey protein powder for almost two years. Until I was having a medical check up and the doctor said I have a high cholesterol level. My family and I were shocked because it can’t be. I workout 4 times a week, I eat a little seafood other than fish, I don’t consume fried foods that often. I kept thinking why. Until, I discovered that my whey protein is the one who give me that high cholesterol level.

Since that occurrence, I immediately switch to vegan protein powder. As I live in Indonesia, it is quite a bit hard for me to obtain. But luckily, I found @pranaon_id ! Price wise, yes, vegan protein powder is much more expensive than whey, but I don’t want to have cholesterol at this age!

Also, by consuming this vegan protein, I don’t have much bloating as whey did to me. I am more focusing on making lean muscle. That is why I take the Primal Protein. It has 4 complete protein sources: pea, sacha inchi, artichoke, and chia. I personally like the hazelnut cacao better than the vanilla bean but it all comes down to your preference!

Tip of the week 📣

Maybe we can live with 1000kcal/day and "lose fat" really fast, but let's face it... All those super miraculous diets on the internet won't ever work. In one week after finishing them, you'll probably get back from where you started.
We are daily talking about caloric deficit and it's importance, but that doesn't mean you have to force your body to lose as much as you can in a short time.
If you want to gain a healthy and fit body, training three times/week and losing 1% of your total body weight/week is the best recipe.
So you'd better stop believing everything you read on the internet (except for our posts, of course) and start a healthy diet and a training program. 😊

Been looking up different upper body workouts and finally found a killer one! 🙌💪 it consisted of 5 supersets and did 2 -3 sets of each. After each superset, I also added a cardio sesh either jumping jacks or jump rope! Absolutely loved this workout. Will start filming soon!

Outcome Based Decision Making

We can think we are making good decisions with our nutrition and our exercise. But we have to be honest with ourselves. Is what I'm doing working?

I hear this a lot "I'm eating healthy and clean but my weight is still increasing." "I can't put any muscle on and I've been doing X for months." When it comes to calories, quantity trumps quality. Some might not agree but to much of anything good or bad can lead to weight gain. If your goal is to put on muscle and what you are doing isn't working then it's time to use outcome based decision making and adjust what you're currently doing. Same if you are goal is to lose body fat. Things will need to be modified till you start to see your body composition change towards the goal you have set out for yourself. Otherwise your just spinning your wheels.

Nesse vídeo eu tento mostrar pra vocês como eu faço o congelamento das minhas mudas de kefir
É o jeito correto? Não sei, eu faço esse processo a mais de 6 meses nunca perdi uma muda e nem quem recebeu a muda teve algum problema (graças a Deus)
Vou passar umas dicas que eu faço:

1) lave bem as mãos e seque quando for manusear o seu Kefii, evite o máximo ficar colocando as mãos na sua colônia toda hora.

2) não precisa lavar sua muda antes de congelar

3) não precisa colocar leite em pó

4) pode congelar sem leite, eu coloco leite como uma forma de proteger meus grãos e me dá um certo nervoso ver aquele grãos congelados meio esturricados sem leite.
Mas pode congelar sem leite sem problema nenhum

5) coloco dentro de um ponte todos os meus saquinhos e deixo no fundo do freezer, é mais frio e fará melhor a conservação .

6) Coloque data e identifique o que tem no saquinho vai que alguém joga fora.

7) usei um saquinho para geladinho, sacolé nas medidas 6cm de largura por 24cm de comprimento, se acharem maior melhor ainda.

8) congele porções pequenas como meia a 1 colher de sopa de grãos por saquinho.

9) sua muda pode ficar de 1 a 2 anos congelada ainda não descongelei nenhuma com tanto tempo pra ver se sobreviveram.

Coach ColDog’s Tip of the Week 🚀
M O V E M E N T
“Make shit look nice” When I heard this line from @drandreospina , I thought to myself that is 💯% it when it comes to how we move or movement patterns. As a performance coach, I always keep that in the back of my mind when I’m coaching clients and training myself - if shit don’t look nice, chances are it doesn’t feel nice and something isn’t working as it should.
This week I wanted to share some stuff I’ve learnt on my journey so far from some great coaches I’ve had and worked with and also doing @exoseducation course going through their training system.
🕺🏻First things first - find a way to move every day!! 5 minutes of movement in the morning and 5 at night - every little bit counts!! 🕺🏻Fail to prepare, prepare to fail, you need to get your body READY to exercise:
💪🏻 if you’re about to exercise, start with a light jog, some star jumps, ride an exercise bike etc. Warm yourself up.
💪🏻 activation work - you want to get the muscles you are working activated - wake them up - bands can often be good for this depending on the area you are targeting 💪🏻 dynamic stretching - keep these movements fluid, and multi directional
💪🏻 movement integration - practice the movements before you load them, for example air squats before you throw a bar on your back - how do they feel? No point loading up if they feel off to begin with right?
💪🏻 neural prep - get the mind firing!!
🕺🏻Stay tuned to this station for some prep stuff you can do to help you make movement look nice.
Last night’s session with @asquithmagpies1953 involved strength and a couple of conditioning challenges at the end - the movement prep we worked through was:
🏃‍♂️- 150m jog
🤸‍♀️ - movement patterns on our 25m track
🧘🏼‍♂️ - dynamic stretching
🏋🏽‍♂️ - movement integration - different tempo air squats and pushups with various movements to prepare the bodies for the lifting later in the session
🤼‍♂️ - reaction drills - neural prep to fire up the CNS 🚀🚀🚀🚀

"If I had my life to live over again, I'd try to make more mistakes next time. I wouldn't try to be so perfect. We all have perfection fetishes. What difference does it make if you let people know you are imperfect? They can identify with you then. Nobody can identify with perfection.

I would relax more. I'd limber up. I'd be sillier than I've ever been on this trip. In fact, I know very few things that I would take so seriously. I'd be crazier. I'd be less hygienic. I'd take more chances. I'd watch more sunsets. I'd go more places I've never seen. I'd eat more ice cream and fewer beans. I'd have more actual troubles and fewer imaginary ones.

You see, I was one of those people who lived sensibly and sanely hour after hour and day after day. Oh, I've had my moments, and if I had it all do all over again, I'd have more of those moments. In fact, I'd try to have nothing but beautiful moments moment by moment by moment. In case you didn't know it, that's the stuff that life is made of--only moments. Don't miss the now. I've been one of those people who never went anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a gargle, a raincoat, and a parachute. If I had it to do all over again, I'd travel lighter next time.
