Hold on to your hats Victoria (preferably the cowboy kind) because we have an exciting announcement! 🤠
In celebration of 20 years recognizing Victoria’s philanthropic community, Canadian country singing legend Paul Brandt will be the keynote address at this year’s event, taking place at the McPherson Playhouse on November 13, 2019. 💙
Paul Brandt is the most awarded male Canadian country artist in history. Throughout his remarkable career, Paul has always focused on using his celebrity to help and shine a light on the lives of those less fortunate, and has encouraged others to do the same. Initially, he traveled extensively to developing countries around the world raising awareness for various humanitarian aid organizations. More recently, through his own Buckspring Foundation, Paul and his wife Liz launched the #NotInMyCity campaign, which advocates and facilitates on behalf of women and children who are sexually exploited and trafficked in North America. In recognition of selfless acts like these and many more, Paul was presented the 2008 JUNO Award as Humanitarian of the Year and the 2019 CCMA Humanitarian Award.
Paul will also be speaking at our Inspired Philanthropy Masterclass at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel earlier that day. The masterclass is aimed at fundraisers, board members, fundraising volunteers, social financing advocates, media and the general public. This facilitated masterclass will highlight the importance of philanthropy in Canada. Paul Brandt will discuss how he has kept philanthropy a priority throughout his career as an RN and then country music sensation through the creation of the Buckspring Foundation.
The wholehearted way he gives to the charitable sector makes him the perfect keynote for our 20th anniversary of National Philanthropy Day!
Tickets for both these events are on sale now. And don't forget, NOMINATIONS DEADLINE is SEPTEMBER 10! #npdvictoria
