#microgoals are something I encourage my clients to adhere to, especially at the start of their journey.
Have you ever decided that 'the diet starts Monday'? You try to cut out everything you deem to be bad food, say you're going to go to the gym every day, then give up by Wednesday because you feel rubbish, stressed and unsatiated?
The reason for this is trying to do too much too soon.
Microgoals are your long term goals broken down into smaller, more manageable chunks.
If your goal is to lose a stone, we'd break it down to something as simple as having a healthier lunch than you'd normally have.
Outside of our sessions I'd encourage booking on to a class as a way of getting in some extra exercise.
If it's not too much of a change to your current daily life, it will be much easier to change your lifestyle bit by bit, rather than trying to change it all in one go and giving up a few days in!
