Some simple ways to identify a cop car by the door pocket. *
Vehicle code quick code book (for those obscure codes) Hand sanitizer (for all those nasties we touch)
Gloves for when we know in advance we are going to touch a nasty
Antacid (this is obviously a senior deputy’s car)
What’s in your door pocket?

The on an explosive demolition range at the ATF National Center for Explosives Training and Research (NCETR) serves as a that the range is “hot” and live operations are underway. NCETR is co-located on Redstone Arsenal with the FBI Hazardous Devices School (HDS). Every Public Safety Bomb Technician in the United States is required to attend HDS as part of their initial training. This single source of schooling ensures all Bomb Technicians in the nation receive the same introductory training at the beginning of their bomb disposal careers. We return to this base at frequent and regular intervals to attend recertification courses, as well as intermediate and advanced courses offered by both branches of the Department of Justice. _____________________________________________ #ocsd#bombsuit#eod#ocsd#ocsdbombsquad#ocsdhds#ocsdhazmat#bombsquad#hazardousdevicesunit#hds#hazardousdevicessection#orangecountyca#bombtech#bombtechnician#bombtechmemorialfoundation
“Train like you fight.” Behind every successful @ocsdbombsquad operation, is a fire/rescue team waiting to drag us to safety and administer advanced life support if something goes horribly wrong. In most areas of Orange County, @ocfahmrt is our primary rescue support for downrange operations.
Today, @ocsheriff Bomb Technicians and @orangecountyfireauthority Firefighters, Paramedics and Haz-Mat personnel conducted joint “Bomb Technician down” training to maintain our interoperability skill sets and remain sharp on emergency procedures.
Thanks @ocfahmrt for always having our backs!
Let’s work together to keep Mission Viejo safe! Today, our deputies visited some of the fitness facilities and parks to educate our citizens about locking their vehicles and keeping valuables out of plain view. Kudos to most of the patrons for not making it easy on thieves. Please report any suspicious activity to our police services by calling our dispatch center at 949-770-6011! #ocsd#mvcrimeprevention#mvps@24hourfitness@lafitness#lapawsdogpark@missionviejolife
