Fitness Update. I’m taking a dieting break.
This week I decided I’m done trying to diet. Yes I said done trying. I’ve been attempting to diet for the last few weeks, but when it comes down to it, dieting and getting abs is the least important thing to me right now. The truth is I love my body the way it looks. I’m about 10-15 pounds heavier then my low, but I have a lot of other areas in my life that I’m focusing on, which is why I’m stepping into a maintenance phase.
My life often resembles a giant whirl wind on the day to day. I’m working 50 hours a week (when you factor in my commute), plus running a business, at the gym about 8 ish hours a week (which is low for me), plus other community activities. It’s a lot & I’ve decided to hit the break on forcing a diet.
I’m a firm believer in taking seasons of life to accomplish certain things. After a slow cut last year, then a 6 month bulk, I’m happy to be in a maintenance phase.
This feels like a good place to be for me. I’m working out 4-5 times for a week- lifting with about 10-30 min cardio sessions, depending how I feel. I’ve missed cardio a lot and although my coach didn’t prescribe me cardio, he said if I enjoy it - do it! ♀️
