For a long time I lived my life in a way that when something happened to me, I immedately put myself into the role of a victim and missed the opportunity to grow in the midst of a struggle. During this chapter I went no where fast and experienced very little personal development in life.
To shift my mindset, I embraced the idea that I am not responsible for what happens to me BUT I am 100% responsible for how I react to what happens to me.
It becomes a choice whether we take whatever is in front of us to have it move our lives in a more positive or negative direction, regardless of whether we precieve the event as good or bad.
Have ownership over everything that happens to you and learn to thrive regardless of whatever it is that stands in front of you. -
I hear way too many people say they can't do something because (insert excuse) happened to them or (insert excuse) is preventing them from doing it.
It's bullshit. You can overcome and you can choose to live a life of resiliency. The only limitations you'll have are the ones you place on yourself.

One of the great things that came with pursuing my degree is actually something you don’t expect to get going in. It taught me how to see the end of the tunnel whenever it got tough. Resilience is probably the most important trait you can have in this life for so many reasons. You can be book smart all you want, but if you shy away from failure, you’ll always fail.
