Dam that train lights up the entire area!
So take two on talking about my camera.
I use the Panasonic Lumix GH5. It is a mirrorless dslr style camera with a Mirco four thirds sensor. This means it's sensor is half the size of 35mm sensor. Therefore it has lower resolution, at 20.3 megapixels, to most other prosumer cameras. For example a similarly priced Sony a7riii has something the sort of 50 megapixels.
However, it is due to this sensor size that all of my favourite features of this camera can be possible. For example due to its smaller size, it's lenses, can be half its size and therefore, weight and price, for the same effect! As the sensor is half the size, so can be the lenses, I have meantioned this a few times, but this means my 300mm lense is equivalent to a 600mm lense on a full frame camera. This has its downside as it makes it hard to get wide shots, this is not an issue for me as I prefer a tight look in film and video.
It also makes it easier for Lumix to create incredible body stabilisation for both video and photo! With the gh5 stabilisation you can get almost Steadicam like footage!
I also love the flexibility of lenses. It is extremely easy to adapt lenses to the gh5, due to the sensor size and it being mirrorless, I have been able to get vintage lenses to work without any issues, use some of my canon glass, and even some cheap CCTV lenses. All of which is ton of fun!
Sorry for the novel haha. I could ramble on for much longer as to why I love this camera but I hope it gives a little bit of an idea.
