Our latest rescue!
Yesterday night, my “dad” and I went to pick up my “mom” from a friends house. On our way back we saw this guy on the floor about to cross a really busy and big street. We couldn’t leave him there because he had nowhere to go. There where just some trees in the middle of busy roads. We tried to put him inside our carrier but he wouldn’t get in. So we used a box . We drove for 5 minutes and we released him in a very dense jungle area. I didn’t got close to him, he never even realized I was there (but I did ) I was soooo curious (and concerned) but my humans didn’t wanted me to scare him so I was kept away from him. I only got a really quick picture before the release.
[Ideally when you help a sloth you have to leave him/her around the same area and move him in the same direction he was moving. But it was not the right choice in this case. ]
Today in the morning my humans went to check on him but he already went deeper into the jungle. Good sign!
