Last day! WOW I had a LOT to say about this one! My heart is racing!
Day 8 #PlantMagicYogis
The earliest mention of #cannabis has been found in the Vedas, or sacred Hindu texts. In India, the Sadhus use cannabis to seek spiritual freedom, while renouncing material life. Many cultures and religions hold this sacred plant in reverence, for its healing properties. Cannabis is highly effective in treating pain and inflammation, by working with the body’s endocannabinoid system. Prescriptions are given to treat a wide variety of ailments such as anxiety, insomnia, migraines, epilepsy, PTSD, cancer, etc. We have yet to learn all of its benefits due to the controversy over legalities, but that is changing! I think society is becoming aware of how ridiculous it is that something so much safer and more beneficial than alcohol can be any less legal. However, I do speak from experience when I say that it is indeed habit-forming and should be approached with awareness and caution. It isn’t for everyone, and *use* can easily become *abuse.* I’ve had a prescription from California, to treat my migraines and PMS. (Actually, I was diagnosed with PMDD.) If you can relate to any of this, *please* do not hesitate to reach out to me!
#Hemp is the non-psychoactive variety of cannabis plant. It’s the most sustainable & versatile natural fiber resource, and can be made into textiles, clothing, paper, even biodegradable plastics and biofuel! Hemp seeds are one of nature’s superfoods, a complete protein high in omega-3s. However they do not contain CBD/THC. Those can be found in the medicinal cannabis varieties. CBD products have become increasingly popular these days too... so do you have any you would recommend??
