I know listening to a 13 year old is not everyones cup of tea. My age may make you think that I have no experience in life and that's fine. If you think my age holds me back from having certain knowledge and experience please leave.
But let me ask you this first- are semi-automatics guns or are the weapons of war, weapons of mass destruction? Because in 1999 Australia had their last mass shooting, and do you wanna know why? They put up gun control laws and haven't had one since.
Canada and the UK both had a couple mass shootings but since they put up gun control laws they have had none.
Protect the people not the semi-automatic killing machines that are meant for military use only.
I am all fine with people having pistols and shit- hell I think it would be great to only give people single shot muskets because THAT was the founding fathers understanding of what a gun was.
I saw 2 videos and 1 has been taken down but they both showed victims of the Florida shooting.
The video that was taken down had a close up of two of the dead girls and some of the others that had gotten shot and their injuries
The one that is still up shows what I assume are the same two girls and their bodies being cleaned out of the classroom.
I can send people the video if they wish to see it, but I sure as hell know I never want to see it again.
Those two girls looked like any friend you or I have so if you watch it- imagine those two girls as someone close to you.
This shooting, unlike the others was filmed by students so we can all experience the terror ourselves if you look far enough into this.
For those saying this idea of getting rid of semi-automatics is violating our second amendment right like I said I do not believe semi- automatics are guns.
But for those who believe they're guns
The guns have changed and laws have not.
The constitution was made to be amended as time went on and as things change.
It was never a document made to stay the same.
You do not need a semi-automatic for hunting, or to defend your home.
I don't care if you do not agree with me, just remember the teens today are the people of tomorrow.
