Sometimes I get nervous that certain volunteering posts I put out come across as self-serving. Or I don’t share what I’m doing because I don’t want to attract attention to myself. In many ways my posts ARE self-serving because giving back does make me feel really good. I like helping other people and it keeps me focused on bigger problems in the world rather than my own silly ones. The more I give, the more I feel free from material possessions, ego, and self-centeredness. I know we all have so many things going on in our lives and going to give back and volunteer is not always easy, or we feel like we don’t have time for it. But the more you do it, from my experience, the more you’ll like it and the more impact you’ll get to make. That’s why I am really excited to invite you all to our event tomorrow evening at Project C.U.R.E. We will be sorting through medical supplies that will then be taken to Third World countries and help people in great need of these medical devices. If this speaks to you in any way, reach out to me and we will get you registered for a super fun night with other individuals passionate about making a difference in global health care!
