#SH337 – In continuation of what I shared yesterday(#SH336) – “Knowledge without practice is of no use”. One must be having knowledge about do’s and don’ts of #PublicSpeaking but if they are not practicing public speaking they will not become good public speakers. One must be having thorough knowledge about swimming but that itself will not make them good swimmer. So, practicing is the key. However, it is not just the practice but “the right practice” that makes differentiates between a successful and not so successful person...differentiate between a winner and a loser. In our society, in general, and in the corporate world, in particular, we can see numerous examples...numerous practices...done in the wrong way. And, as an #HRConsultant with expertise in change management, many times we get a pushback, from employees and leaders, when they say, “Sanjeev, we have been doing this way for last 20-25 years”. “Yes. Just because you have been doing something for so many years doesn’t make the wrong practice right. It’s a time to do it in the right way.”, I explain.
Therefore, #Knowledge + #Practice = #Behaviour.
Knowledge + Right Practice = Change in Behaviour resulting in #Success
Knowledge + Wrong Practice = Change in Behavior resulting in #Failure
