I'm back to the forest so here's one from the Archives. The first time I saw the Malabar Giant Squirrel in wild, a moment that I recently relived with @gargee.girdhari
Have you met this Red Beauty yet?
#Throwback to the wonderful time spent at Barahi Jungle Lodge, Chitwan National Park, Nepal.
I truly love to travel. I could wander off into the small trails running with the river and watch the forests from a distance while the sun set behind the mountains on my right. I also love the way the setting sun makes my skin look like the color of Earth.
As crappy as #2016 has been world-wise and news-wise, I've been blessed to have walked through several remarkable #forests of India, and to have seen their precious #wildlife. There were the hill forts and forests, and arid wilderness of #Rajasthan, the mist caressed hills of #Uttarakhand's #Corbett landscape, the remnant #Aravallis of #Delhi, the #sal forests of #MadhyaPradesh. Saw my first wild #leopard, #tiger and #wolf and met some remarkable people striving to protect nature in a system that rarely has your back. So here's hoping(against hope) that this year brings more good news than usual for the world's wilderness. Happy New Year! Sharing a photograph from November in Sariska, where I learned the godly powers of #ISO adjustment with a 13 year old metal body #Canon SLR.
