Today, we had prayers for one of my friends' father, who passed away early this month. "He was a lover of nature. He would look at the tiniest flower and recognise its beauty while most of us wouldn't even stop to look at it.
He loved animals too. He would sit and look at birds going about their daily chores, and would sit for hours. Nature could never bore him," his wife recollected.
It's a pity that such people should pass away. We need more people like him, who'll simply stop to adore, whether in the city or in the mountains.
And I truly miss people like him while trekking and seeing such sights. If only everyone could experience the outdoors the way us trekkers can. The world would be a happier, better place to live in. .
