THE FUTURE NEEDS REST
Hello friends,I am about to report the story of a taxi man I met this morning, looking at him I could say he was a man in his late sixties,I was the only one in his taxi. He looked at me and said "young man I taught you were going to Kabba, that was why I turned, now you are going to Ifee :that's a town nearby, I was going home to eat my akara,I take life easy,I can't kill myself for this Job,I have been driving taxi for fourthy one years now,but all the same I thank God,I built a house in my village and I have four Graduate children,if it were those days I will be resting by now considering that I have four Graduates, but what the four of them could get is what they can use for their daily needs, not much left to pass home,i will just take you to ifee and stop at the market, eat my akara and see if I can get some passengers"
Did this touch your heart,a man with four graduates ,deserves a rest, but he could not because of wasted years of governance and Vulnerable citizens revolving in the same cycle, i want us all to learn some lessons from this story:
If we all don't stand up on occasions when we need to stand against Bribery and Corruption, injustices, Poor Governance, Election rigging,Vote buying, mass unemployment, poor education,Poor policy implementation and Poor infrastructure, the future might stand the risk of a worse scenario.
Standing up against these instances is not asking you to start violence,it is asking you to tell someone the right thing and do what is right, don't keep silent today, the future must not collapse in the errors of today. The question is
How do you play your Part in 2019?
1.Tell someone the right thing
2. As you approach the ballot box, think of the future and do what is right.
3.Contribute positively in your area of work/service
4.Report detrimental acts to relevant agencies
5.Pray for Nigeria
