I wanted to say a word of thanks. I received a rejection letter today from #PDN magazine, an important photo publication from the US. I was not selected for their 2019 Top 30 emerging photographers.
Yes, I am disappointed. But the process is by nomination only. Someone out there thought enough of my work to nominate me. I was forbidden to mention I was nominated until now, so rather than being able to share the good news at the time I find out, instead I share the bad, while remembering the good.
I am grateful for the opportunity, even though I see so many familiar names in the past editions of the 30 and I would have loved that kind of career exposure.
The part of this journey that's invisible to most of you is just how often you learn to get rejected for every successful result you see. And it's not an easy thing to go through.
These days I am working on new projects so I'm not applying for anything. So you won't see my name pop up for a while. Don't worry. I will be back soon with more new projects!
Thanks to all of you for your support on my journey.
