Longrow 18 yo (46 %, OB, 2280 bottles, 2011)
Nose : Gentle peat, mineral notes (wet stone) and coastal notes (brine, seaweed). Oily and slightly ashy. A few lemons.
Mouth : Oily and zesty with a few spices (pepper, ginger). Earthy peat, citrusy notes and a nice bitterness. Yes, indeed.
Finish : Long, smoky, citrusy, bitter.
Superb nose. Love this style (peaty, mineral and coastal). I could nose this for hours.
Palate had an old school vibe. Tasty and moreish.
Kudos to Springbank.
