From a physique standpoint, I know my shoulders are definitely my weak point since my biceps, triceps, and traps overpower them. Since I’ve started training them twice a week, I’ve noticed a considerable difference, but heading into nationals, they are going to be priority number one. I need to continue to build them to get a more rounded, 3D effect from all angles. •
This is one of the dumbbell lateral raise variations I’ve been using to help bring out my delts more. By always holding one dumbbell up a shoulder level, you’re keeping constant tension on the delts throughout the entire exercise. 🔥New arm workout 🔥 15-20 reps of each 3-5 sets Love this one! You can really feel a struggle at the end of each set. Your last 3-5 reps should feel tough
DB wall curls ( keep your arms against the wall don’t let your elbows come off the wall)
DB circles ( palms face each other at the bottom and at the top, don’t use your low back )
Dips ( keep your back close to the bench and squeeze your triceps at the top)

💥PLANCHE-PUSH-UPS💥
These are the exercises I did that eventually got me to do Planche pushups or the so called push-ups with no feet. Mine still aren’t perfect but I’ve probably done thousands of these reps to make it thus far and am still thousands of reps away from my goals!!

REP SCHEME - Find the progression that you can do OLNLY DO 5-8 reps of (meaning you fail somewhere between those numbers) and start from there. If you can’t make it to five reps regress if you can do more than eight reps EASILY, then progress. Once you figure which progression that is start doing 5 sets of 5-8 reps taking anywhere from a minute to a minute and a half of rest between sets. Since we are looking to increase our maximum strength for this specific exercise there is really no need to superset with another exercise, but doesn’t mean you can’t!
Once you can break eight reps making it to anywhere to 12 to 15 reps EVERY SET then progress. Once you make it a solid 12+ tuck planche push-ups you can really start to play around with some of the more advanced progressions such as single leg planche push-ups, straddle Planche push-ups, and full planche push-ups!
AND AS WITH ANYTHING PLANCHE RELATED ALWAYS GET YOUR ARMS BACK TO THE LOCKED OUT POSITION!!!!

I nailed 125kg push press today and then failed at 130kg (in video). On reflection, really need to work on leg drive and accelerating that overall push from the arms. Hit a mean Shoulder/Chest workout this morning 😈 I meant to film it but I was alone and didn’t have my tripod 🤦🏽‍♂️ .
Pro Tip‼️When doing chest flyes I’ve learned to never use dumbbells because the downward stretch+pressure can damage your rotator cuff

The risk is greater than the reward so instead do cable flyes at an angle which is a lot better on your shoulder joint

Completely changing my workouts to strictly body building. It has been rough.
First workout after being in bed rest for 2 days.
Went light. Played with fast twitch vs slow twitch movements. Resistance band is key for a varietal addition to your workout. Your body needs change for advancement. Felt weak but I still had a killer workout. •4x12 + additional resistance band in between sets.

Many of us overlook training our lower back muscles. That or we focus on heavy deadlifts and don’t end up building any endurance in these muscles.

Why is this a problem you ask?
Because these are our most important postural muscles and they need to be trained more isometrically (without movement) so that they can maintain our posture.
Bad posture will lead to back pain and in many cases, injury. 😣

So what to do?
Take flight!
Lift your legs and arms off the floor and hold this Superman position for as long as you can until you can hold it for 90 seconds. Then try adding a pound or two in each hand and work back up to 90s!
