Exploring the relationship between visuals and social issues, the Parisian artist JR Artist and Cuban-American visual raconteur José Parlá transformed the streets of Havana with absorbing murals for their “Wrinkles Of The City” project. .
On the murals elderly subjects are featured with a dreamlike quality while the imperfect facades add texture while enhancing the depth and tactile quality of each image. This is the result of an harmonic fusion between two totally different styles: Parla's frenetic calligraphic gestures and JR's melancholic portraits.
