Wu-Tang Clan last week celebrated the 25th year anniversary of the release of their debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). An album considered to be one of the greatest hip hop albums ever released. Accompanying the milestone, a documentary was released showcasing the impact that the project had on the hip hop culture. The Wu-Tang has been on a press run, appearing on very highly visible platforms including Jimmy Kimmel Live and Good Morning America to celebrate the milestone. To honor Ol’ Dirty Bastard, his eldest son Young Dirty Bastard has been performing with the group. It is the biggest look an offspring of the clan has experienced. Beyond Young Dirty Bastard there are other second-generation members that have been on the grind for quite some time.
Young Dirty Bastard himself has been making appearances on the road with the group since 2007. In addition to putting out material since the mid 2000’s. One early notable track to mention is “Young Godz” from the Lord Jamar 2006 project The 5% Album. YDB was paired up with Lord Jamar’s son Young Lord in addition to Gza’s son Young Justice. YDB would also link up with Chris Rivers, Big Pun’s son as well as Eazy E’s son Baby Eazy E on “My 3 Sons” released in 2014. That same year another song released was “Wu World Order”.
