A client told me they wanted to up their social media game. They, in particular, wanted to build their brand online. One of the things I suggested is we start putting out content to establish the organization as a thought leader in their space. There were other things but this is what stood out.
They didn't want to put out value-based content because they were worried that people will consume their content not buy from them. They were like, I can provide value but not to potential clients, they will get value after they become clients.
Listen, people, it's never a bad idea to provide people value. It's not a bad idea to establish yourself as a thought leader in a particular space.
The upside is worth it. #justsaying
