"She's a beauty, isn't she, Anubis?” Stygal patted his demonic looking jackal, Anubis on its neck. Anubis growled, sniffing the air around him. He stared at the Soulless Horror in front of him; an empty vessel with enough power to rip anyone in half with her bare hands.
Stygal observed the place around him; snowfall fell upwards, green and red Aurora Borealis danced in the sky afar. The air was stiff and cold, distant cry of restless ghosts echoed through rubbles and ruins of what used to be a castle, now half buried in snow. This place is filled with death, restless deaths, he thought.
The stir in the balance of power at the Underworld could be sensed by anyone who wields the power of death. He journeyed North East, where it took him to the Hall of Chains. He found two necromancers bodies; one outside the gate to the hall, and one not far from the entrance leading to the ruins, seemingly ravaged by creatures of the Underworld.
A magical portal appeared next to Stygal, where a lady with raven hair, dressed in red and black garb stepped out, followed by Elgar Rutherford and a purple haired Chronomancer dressed with purple attire that showed pretty good portion of her brown skin. She dismissed the portal and smiled at Stygal. Cute AND powerful, he thought.
"Did you find what we're looking for?" The lady in red, Rinziette, observed the place around her. Her red eyes gazed into the horizon, looking far where River of Souls located.
Stygal looked away from the Chronomancer. "Yes. You're looking at our destination. His soul should be there, right at the River of Souls." He pointed to a location she was staring at.
"Let's not waste our time then. Something is consuming the souls that supposed to go to face Grenth's judgment. And this is our only chance to intercept and bring Rodrigo's soul back." Elgar put on his blindfold.
"Whoa, what's with the blindfold? I didn't know you're such an anti for fighting a beauty." Stygal poked on Elgar.
"Beauty is distracting. And I surely won't show mercy to anyone stopping us from getting our bestfriend back." Said Elgar. "Let's get him back. Are you ready, milady?"
Rinziette clenched her fist. "Let's bring him home."
