Ola Insta Fam! Happy Tuesday! Yes, I know that it’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here. It’s been a hectic 48+ hours ( if not more to say the least. I’ve been “trying to juggle with a sick toddler & life. The joys of motherhood. ♀️) Anyhow, as I was staring at these tulips while sipping on some tea , I thought about this French proverb “Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace” & here’s my brief interpretation of the quote & a reminder to myself : Always make it a goal to evolve, to blossom, to create & to grow despite the challenges that life inevitably throws down your way. The challenges that you & I might face now or today will never be the same faced a day before or a year later. The key is to tryyyyyy to remain “calm” while somehow maintaining that unwavering desire to be better than before despite the presence of multiple obstacles or negativity. ( In other words, Keep your eyes on the prize & Focus! It sounds easier theorically.. It seems unattainable practically but it can be done) Says the woman who almost lost 95% of her mind last night as she was trying to comfort her baby while “attempting “ to catch up on last week’s emails etc. 🤪♀️ So, Yeah, it is a reminder to me that despite the mess & the tantrum, life does get better. It won’t bring me back the hours of sleep that I missed but hey, at least, I’m still sort of standing and Spring is in the air..Yay!
Now, back to my tulips, did you know that in the 1600s ( 1634-1637) they were said to cost 10 x more than a working man’s average salary in the Netherlands making them more valuable than some homes ?.Now known as Tulip Mania
The Netherlands is the world’s largest commercial producer of tulips with around 3 billion exported each year.
Tulips petals are edible & can be used in place of onions in many recipes. I’ll keep them in my vase though.. Furthermore different colours of tulips carry different significance.
Red=True love, White =Forgiveness, purity, Respect, Purple= Royalty, Orange=Happiness, energy, enthusiasm & desire, Pink =Attachment & care. Do you like tulips? If so, what’s your favourite colour? I them ALL
