How many times a week do you workout your abs? For years a either didn’t work them out at all or hit them once a week. I didn’t get why I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted to. Now I work them 3 times a week AND eat much better than I did. The 3 times a week has made a huge difference. But in the end it eliminating the fat around them that’s really helping them stand out. That said, my core has never felt as strong as it does now. Make sure you’re giving it the same attention that you’re giving the rest of your body. It’s what keeps you standing tall.

This is Shaun! He’s one of my best friends, he has put up with an extreme lack of texting back and distance over the past few years due to my cycling and travelling. He really has stuck by me and put up with a lot I really respect him for that.

He came to me recently and said he wanted to go on a trip with me! This is something I hear a lot from people but there’s a lot of commitment that has to go in and it can be challenging to fit into life. So through many messages and calls and persuading me he showed me he has the commitment as he wouldn’t leave me alone 😉 haha!

This is where the journey started we got him a training bike and we have set a date at the end of August to go on an adventure. I have started training him from someone that has never really done cycling to an Ultra Cyclist!

I have completely thrown him in at the deep end! His first training ride was 32 miles and his second was 50 miles! He is doing unbelievable! I am challenging him lots and he just smiles grits his teeth and gets on with it! .

If he keeps this up in 10 weeks and this guys will be smashing 100’s day after day after day! .

To follow his progress he’s @shaun_hayden This guys gunna be an amazing cyclist in 10 weeks!

Even tho I'm going to compete against the 231 pound guys at this years #washingtonsstrongestapple weighing only 190 pounds, I've gotta run a trial weight. Since my last actual cut was Feats of Strength 2016 (where I cut from 188 to 172 in 48 hours) and my next Como where I well have to cut is gonna be next year, its best to run a test cut every so often if its that far between necessary weight cuts.
So 3 weeks out and the prep begins. I'll weigh 190 pounds 5 days out from weigh ins which are Friday (so I'll weigh in @ 174.9 and compete against guys that are cutting down to 231!!!!). Weight cutting is A science, with lots of math, and understanding the body and hormones. If you don't know what you're doing, I suggest hiring someone that does. Weight cuts this big can be incredibly dangerous, and most people have no idea how to cut, and the really fuck up the refeed..... WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!!.. Anyways, imma put up progress pics and statuses. And if anyone needs help with a cut, hit me up. Aposto que essa resposta pode decepcionar muita gente num primeiro momento, especificamente aquelas pessoas que realmente não têm muito conhecimento (principalmente prático) do assunto.

Mas o grande "segredo" de um programa alimentar ou de treinamento físico para obter sucesso, principalmente no longo prazo, é o controle preciso das variáveis que realmente importam e os ajustes necessários, conforme a necessidade. Esses 2 pontos importantíssimos irão corrigir erros e desvios que ocorrem naturalmente ao longo do processo, garantindo assim a permanência na direção correta, rumo ao objetivo final.

Talvez esses 2 pontos sejam os mais negligenciados e, sem sombra de dúvidas, os maiores responsáveis pelos insucessos que ocorrem nesses ramos.

E vale ressaltar que um ponto depende diretamente do outro: se houver controle preciso, mas faltar ajuste ou o ajuste for feito de maneira errada, o programa irá falhar. Da mesma forma, muitos ignoram o controle das variáveis básicas e importantes relacionadas ao treinamento e à dieta, focando exclusivamente em realizar ajustes, que obviamente (por não haver controle adequado), não os colocarão na direção certa para obterem o resultado que desejam.

Resumindo: controle e ajuste são pontos fundamentais para qualquer processo que tenha como objetivo a melhoria contínua e resultados a serem atingidos, seja na nutrição, seja no treinamento físico, seja numa indústria, seja em qualquer área da vida! 👊💪
