So it was a bad weekend for my teams and I have already caught a lot of crap for it. So what. This is what happens when you go for number 1. This is true in life too, you are going to take a shot down field, a strange fourth down and goal choice to go for the touchdown, A Gus Malzahn play call that everyone is screaming at the tv over, and that play may fail horribly it is how you rebound to still win the season. We may have lost the game yesterday, but we are winning the month, and the season and the Chiefs and Auburn are trying to win the year.
You hear it everyday, people making fun of a coworker, friend, and even family for throwing the dice. The difference between those throwing the dice and the folks watching the excitement of a hot craps table is the will to win. It's easy to judge when the dice land a 6 1 and the thrower craps out losing a ton of money, but everyone is full of regret for not betting on themselves when the winning starts. If The Chiefs scored on that 4th down everyone would be praising Andy, if Gus rallied the Tigers and drove right back down the field off that long shot we would all be praising Gus for going for the win. If you find yourself laughing at those who are taking risks on their life's 4th down you will ultimately be laughed at for not even playing the game. Be a winner, just go out and do whatever it takes to win your game and I promise you no one will be laughing when they are asking for your help.
