A quote to think about, especially when considering that Eastern Australia is ranked in the top 10 of the worlds major deforestation fronts (the only developed country), according to the recent 'Living Forest Repot' published by the World Wildlife Fund. Most of the land clearing is occurring in Queensland and figures continue to increase annually. Not only does this contribute to climate change but it is also threatening the habitats and lives of vulnerable species, such as Koalas

Open up your eyes
We need to try
Can't forget it
Do you hear their cries?
Can't let them die
It's the cry of the black-footed ferret!
The third poster in my series about the dwindling populations of endangered species. Orangutans had a total population of around 230,000 at the beginning of the 20th century and now have been decreased to 104,700. That is a ~55% decrease in numbers. They are killed in senseless retaliation for feeding on crops because their homes have been destroyed and they have no food. -

Quick #sketch of my #dad who would have turned 69 yesterday. Always an #artistic#inspiration, always pushing me to #draweveryday, my best and worst critic. I still hear his words "You're only as good as your last piece of work" with everything I do. His #legacy lives on in the #fsc logo he #designed over 20 years ago. I hope I'm making him proud!
I’m not normally political, but I needed to share this. We as human beings need to defend the defenseless, not make it ok to murder and orphan these amazing animals. It’s never ok to hunt an endangered species or a critically threatened one. We need to do what we can to preserve and help them bring their numbers back up, and this new legislation is just embarrassing. Many believe this stuff is happening anyways so it’s not going to change anything to allow elephant trophies to make it into the US, but by making it legal you are giving the go ahead for Americans to kill and bring trophies back to the US without repercussion. This will only increase the amount of people who are hunting these animals. We need to do the right thing, and reversing this ban was definitely not a good call. #BeKindToElephants#notmypresident#conservation#savewildlife#worldwildlifefund#wildlifeconservationsociety#protect#defend#love#dosomething#fightpoaching for every repost @theellenshow will make a donation to @dswt
