Thousands of mourners gathered in Yemen’s northern city of Saada Monday for the funerals of 51 people, including 40 children, who were killed in a U.S.-backed Saudi-led coalition airstrike on a school bus last week. The massacre of school boys between the ages of 6 and 11 was one of the worst attacks on children in the history of Yemen’s brutal war.
Some of you may not be even aware of this story and it's easy to blame the media. The war in Yemen is barely covered and when it is covered, excuses are made.
We get far more coverage of Trumpty with porn stars instead of kids being murdered because sadly that is what people want to see and read, than a war that makes the US look bad. This is one of the main reasons I am posting this today.
The worlds worst humanitarian crisis is in Yemen. The death toll from the bombings alone is estimated to atleast stand at 12,000 and possibly more. Even worse the destruction of this deperately poor country has led to a hunger and health crisis. Saudi Arabia is destroying Yemen and murdering innocents as an outside power, using US manufactured weapons and we need to wake up and question why the US and the UK too in fact, are supporting them.
The US is not only selling them the weapons but also providing logistics re fueling and intelligence support hence making them directly complicit in their destruction.
No kid should die in war but it will continue if no one pays attention and speaks out against this horror show which we are a part of.
