Some days all you need might be just one down dog. Of course it's important to get a full practice on as regularly as possible. But sometimes life gets really busy and it's just impossible to go for a full practice but even on those crazy days it's really important to take 5 or 10 minutes and get into one posture, stretch and breathe. Taking the time for that one posture will mean being able to keep your sanity during crazy times.

El lugar ideal para colocar el peso en la cabeza, se llama el bregma - la unión entre las suturas craneales coronal y sagitaria, justo donde el hueso frontal se encuentra con los dos parietales. -> esa colocación lleva a una postura final un poco más arqueada. • Por otro lado, si el peso se pone sobre la coronilla, lleva a una espina más neutral y balanceada entre el lado ventral y dorsal del cuerpo. -
Un reto grande en esta postura es lograr la extensión total de las caderas. Cuando los músculos abdominales no están suficientemente fuertes, las caderas tienden a flexionar y se siente el trabajo en los músculos de la espalda en vez de el frente.

Las inversiones permiten drenaje linfático, mediante aumento en el retorno venoso de la parte inferior del cuerpo. Además provee beneficios invertir el diafragma. -
Nota al calce: El cerebro tiene buenos mecanismos para controlar la cantidad de sangre que va hacia la cabeza en una inversión corporal. Claro está, hay que ir gradualmente aumentando la duración en esta postura para fortalecer estos mecanismos al igual que poco a poco desarrollar los músculos que te mantienen en esta postura de manera segura: triceps, serrato anterior, infraspinatus, extensores espinales, rectus abdominis, gluteus maximus, rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, adductor magnus y tendones de corva; obliquus capitis superior, rectus capitis posterior menor, rectus capitis posterior major, obliquus capitis inferior, longus colli y rectus capitis anterior -

I did a lot of thinking and feeling about how the hell I got this adrenal fatigue, an actual clinical burnout. As a yoga practitioner for over 20 years I mainly know how to keep my calm. I’ve learned that stress comes in all kind of shapes, for example lack of sleep is putting your body under a lot of stress and unhealthy food or eating food that your body can not process also. For me the biggest problem was lack of sleep, I’ve never slept much not even as a child and I’ve always underestimated the power of sleep. Adrenal fatigue is apparently something that builds up slowly, sometimes for over 20 years and then one day it hits you.
The leaky gut issue didn’t help either, my body wasn’t capable of absorbing vitamins anymore. My blood was kind of empty and I ate food that my body doesn’t like. I made the mistake not to seek for appropriate help right a way. Also all the comments like: “sure you’re tired, you have 3 children” weren’t helpful either. The point I want to make is that when you think something is wrong, don’t listen to other people, your intuition will tell you if you want to listen.
Seek help and make adjustments as much as you have to. If you’re motivated to heal, you will recover from adrenal fatigue quicker than you think. No I’m not there yet and I don’t have much energy to spare but I feel already soooo much better than I did 4 months ago. Happy healing people, you can do it ✌🏼

1. Use blocks under the hands
2. Place a wedge or fold the front of the mat up twice and place raised edge under palms
3. Press both heels against a wall
4. Use bolster or block to support head with ears level between arms
5. Bend knees, while maintaining hips to the sky and pressing heels towards the mat

Another gorgeous backbend for this Tuesday- Bow or Dhanurasana. Here are few of the benefits of practising Bow pose - stretches the entire front of the body, while simultaneously strengthening every muscle in the back. This improves posture and spinal flexibility. Additionally, the pose helps to open the chest, abdomen, quadriceps, ankles, groins, hip flexors, and throat. When practising backbends keep in mind they are actually more of a back elongations. Be mindful not to compress the lower back. You can do this by focusing on extending and sending the energy through the legs, away from your back. I’ve got few tips on correct alignment when in Dhanurasana - Enter on an inhale. Press the feet enthusiastically into the hands, extending energy through the legs. This takes you out of your lower back. As you do this, pull the hands against the feet. That brings the shoulder blades into the upper chest. Lift the sides of the body when inhaling, lift the arms and collar bones. This gets you out of your lower back.

abdominal and thoracic center, the position of the hands will allow the ribs to open to inspiration.
Stretch the spine and relieve tension in the lower back, impacting all organs of the abdomen and lower abdomen; facilitate digestion and tone the root chakra. Moreover, this position symbolically represents abandonment (ishwarapranidhana),trust in life, prayer. This withdrawal allows the secretion of serotonin.
If the forehead does not touch the ground, a support can be placed.
