Curvier than a supermodel, more sex appeal than a porn star, and more reasonably priced than a backpage hooker, this is the 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C3). The C3 Corvette was equipped with dozens of engine variants ranging from Chevrolet's: 305ci V8, 350ci V8, 427ci V8 and even a massive 454ci big block V8. With so many different engine options the power ranged anywhere from 180 HP to 460 HP. The C3 pictured here is owned by Danny Popp, a veteran autocross racer with a number of victories under his belt. His C3 Corvette was actually handed down to him through his father; it's literally a family inheritance item that spans 30+ years! And just as wine gets better with age, Mr. Popp's C3 is the same. The 350ci LT-1 V8 has been bored out to 355ci complete with an aftermarket heads and camshaft kit to produce a healthy 460 HP and 420 lb ft of torque. The car itself is also fit with tons of aftermarket suspension goodies and larger tires. The end result? A classic autocross vehicle with 3 F.A.S.T. AutoCrosser of the Year awards. The car is as capable as it is beautiful. And with an average asking price for a clean used model hovering around ~$30,000 USD, this masterpiece isn't unobtainable like most American icons. The C3 Corvette is absolutely timeless.
