The #BrazilianGP marked the end of an era for #Williams, with Martini abandoning the livery already for #AbuDhabiGP, before dropping out of #F1 entirely at the end of the season.
The strong bond between Martini and Williams, one of the most iconic and long-standing sponsorships of the category, was announced as done in February of this year, after being rekindled only four years ago. A hard blow for Williams finances, the Bacardi group, owner of Martini, has stated that they have lost interest in racing altogether. Rumour has it, however, that Martini didn't appreciate the choice of drivers under 25 years of age (in #LanceStroll's case, barely legal) as it wouldn't help much a sponsor whose revenue comes entirely from liquor. 📸: @forever.f1
