Big Man Versus Lil Man. These terms are used to reference different people and they have several different meanings. When you call someone big man this does mean several things: either ya boy is a biiiiggg man or this could be used as a warning or as a sign of respect. For example, “big man ease up off me for I don’t sting ya head off” or “ya big man I ga catch you later”. Depending on the tone and context this can be used differently. Now, lil man is usually used to refer to dem youngins. When you call a younger child lil man it’s either a greeting, dey small or they doing something they ain’t supposed to do and you want to discipline them but give them respect in the same way. For example, “yah yah lil man, how was school today?” Or “alright lil man don’t row ya sister like that.” But then there’s yinna rude chirren that was big man before ya time and then ya had to get cut hip from Grammie ever single day after school cuz you round hya acting like you is a “big man” and is pay and bills round hya.
