Two years ago, I had an idea.
I wanted to create a short PDF to capture some of the post-performance recovery exercises I had been workshopping with a group of performers for a few months.
Needing some help, I began working with @wildeatsadventure as an editor to support my writing.
Avery quickly saw more potential in this idea than I had ever dreamed. She coaxed me to expand my writing, include more of my personal story in it and came up with the idea to include my actual voice (audio recordings) as part of the book.
Under her guidance, my writing grew and the project went from a short PDF to a fully fledged e-book full of personal stories, real-life examples and practical exercises to help you, as a performer, develop a post-performance recovery practice of your own.
Three months ago, I handed the manuscript over to @rachaelisbeth, another extraordinary editor who has focused the book and brought clarity to my writing and uncovered the passion within it.
This week, I hand the final draft over to @basiakowalski, who is working to now bring this book to life through her dynamic and thoughtful design.
