I thought I was gonna swing 50kg on the Napalm Nightmare thick bar but the 47.5kg was beating the crap out of me! Managed to get 13 reps. The goal is get 20 reps. Still some way off. .

Adequate water intake is essential to allow the body's systems to function correctly. Effects of dehydration can include poor concentration, low energy, headaches and tiredness
โ€ข
Aim for 8 glasses of water a day- however be mindful that warmer, humid conditions or sitting in air conditioning will increase your required water intake
โ€ข
Monitor your level of dehydration by the colour of your urine- aim for a pale straw to clear colour (dark yellow means you are dehydrated)
โ€ข
And remember that by the time you feel thirsty you are already dehydrated! So keep a glass of water at your desk or carry a water bottle with you to ensure you keep sipping through the day ๐Ÿ’ฆ

WORKOUT SNACKING has been a game changer for me ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Workout snacks are bite-sized bits of movement ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ I use to fire myself up, to boost my energy after lunch, to blast a little stress after a big day or just to make exercising more manageable ๐Ÿ’ฅThey play a huge role in how I exercise these days๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

To be honest, 10 years ago I rarely would have done a workout that went for less than 60minutes ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ Exercise was always a full on training session or game of netball. It was physically intense, often mentally demanding, always time consuming and usually competitive (against others and myself) ๐Ÿฆ It was about high heart rates, sweating up a storm, and pushing myself to improve. I absolutely loved every second of it ๐Ÿฅฐ But, since then, Iโ€™ve fallen in love with workout snacking โค๏ธ
.โ €
Why? Because life got busier, more complicated and more challenging. Careers, injuries, sickness, family, motherhoodโ€ฆ. the list goes on. All of those added together meant I struggled to find 60minutes of โ€˜spare timeโ€™ consistently over my week. But, I was easily finding multiple 5minute blocks every day. So I made the most of that.โ €

Soon enough, I fell in love with the 5 minute workout. ๐Ÿ’• I was able to do them at different times of the day. I was able to do them indoors, outdoors, at home or at work. ๐Ÿƒ I was able to make them gentle, or intense, sweaty, or strong, rehab focused, or full body blasting ๐Ÿ”ฅโ €

It was exactly what my body was telling me I neededโ€ฆโ €
.โ €
โ€ฆa gentle stretch or quick walk to loosen stiff muscles after sitting all morning. A few bodyweight exercises in my lounge room when Iโ€™ve been stuck at home with a sick child for the past 3 days. A hiit of fresh air and movement in my backyard to kick stress to the curb. A bit of foam rolling in front of the TV to aid recovery from last nights training session. Or, a swap of the afternoon food snack with an afternoon workout snack to boost my energy.โ €

Itโ€™s amazing what a change of environment can do for your mind ๐Ÿ’ซ
The last couple of months I have made some big changes in my life & itโ€™s been nothing but amazing ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ Sometimes we can be so afraid of change, but most of the time itโ€™s what we need. If you ever feel uncertain or notice your mood or mindset change in a certain environment, maybe itโ€™s time to ask yourself if it needs to be eliminated to make room for something more amazing? ๐Ÿ’ญ
