Super easy right! But that’s not the right mindset to have. Constantly checking your weight/measurements/appearance is like watching a cake bake in the oven, it feels like it takes 3 times as long!

As opposed to getting distracted by something else and having the cake almost burn because you totally forgot about it.

Bit of a different analogy but the point is that it’s all mindset. If your focus every day is on RESULTS RESULTS RESULTS - you’re going to feel like you’re not getting anywhere. You’re going to lose motivation.

But if your focus is on giving each and every workout your best, you’re going to feel like you get there a lot faster!

Training with Kettlebells in the hard style method requires lots tension in the glutes. This one of my go to stretches to help lengthen and relax the ol rear wheel drives. If your neck is strained and your head can’t comfortably relax on the floor, try grabbing behind the thigh instead.

Goal-setting Monday! (Yeah I am reading the Sunday paper on a Monday and yeah I still have to clear my desk. 🙄) It takes me about 50 minutes to run a hilly 5km trail at the moment (true, I am more than 10 minutes faster on the flat), but at first skim read, the highlighted paragraph made me chortle - 10km in a hour - there's a goal for me! Obviously you train different distances and intensities as you build towards a 10km event (and the article did mention that); e.g., currently I do about 4.5km of interval training on Saturday and run a 5.5km trail on Thursday as I return from injury, with cycling, yoga, swimming and walking the dog daily in between. At any rate, right now I am making progress, feeling motivated, and wondering; maybe I could run 10km in a hour? First I want to better my 5k PB one process goal at a time, so it is probably time to find an event and make a proper plan! 📉🏃🏁

Here are three things to consider if this is happening to you.

1. Does your offer and the market you are targeting match? Sometimes tweeting what you are offering or the people you are trying to attract can have all the difference. Get out and ask potential clients what they want and take the guess work out if it.

2. Are you providing a painless first step for new clients to connect with you? It’s unlikely that someone who comes across your business for the first time will immediately sign up for a large package but they might try a small, easy to access sample. This doesn’t need to be free but I’d does need to be super tempting.

3. Are you using your skills in the most timely manner? If your not sure what you are doing with marketing and advertising your time and money can be sucked up super quickly with little return. Either get help to learn some new skills (it’s easier than you think) or outsource what you can. Your time is better used on the things you are best at.

It’s so important to ensure you’re not neglecting stabilising muscles as it can HUGELY effect the progress of your bigger lifts.
We love incorporating cable face pulls as they highly benefit the scapulae retractors, which in turn keep the shoulder in proper alignment. This is very important when it comes to correct push movements (dumbbells/barbell shoulder press, bench press etc) and pull movements (bent over rows, seated rows, lat pull downs, chin ups etc) and can also prevent injury
